Leonidas ends the month in Seoul where he leads two concerts with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe at the city’s Lotte Concert Hall on 27 and 28 March. In the first concert, Leonidas play-directs a programme of Bach’s Concerto No.1 in D minor (reconstructed for the violin), Schubert’s Symphony No.5 and Beethoven’s Symphony No.3 ‘Eroica’. The second concert features a programme of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.5 and Symphony No.38 and Schumann’s Symphony No.2. Leonidas continues his close relationship with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe in June with concerts in Paris and Vienna.

Elsewhere this month, Leonidas returns to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for four concerts at Chicago Symphony Center from 8 March alongside conductor Emmanuel Krivine. Together they perform Shostakovich Violin Concerto No.1, part of a programme that also features Debussy La Mer and works by Mussorgsky and Berlioz.
