Leonidas conducts the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks

Leonidas continues his season-long artistic residency with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks this month, joining them for two concerts at Munich’s Gasteig on 28 and 29 March 2019. He appears as both conductor and soloist for the concerts, first performing Beethoven Violin Concerto and then leading the orchestra in a performance of the composer’s Symphony No.7.

Leonidas launched his residency in October when he performed Shostakovich Violin Concerto No.1 under Cristian Măcelaru – click here to watch an extract from the performance. The residency continues in May when he joins the orchestra and conductor Daniel Harding to perform Berg Violin Concerto.
